As of September 11, a total of 979 exhibitors have registered for the Tokyo Game Show 2024, including 30 companies participating online. The event will feature 2,299 games confirmed for display. 

Among the exhibitors, 450 companies are from Japan, while 529 are international participants. The physical venue will have a total of 3,252 booths, making this year's event the largest in terms of both the number of exhibitors and exhibition space since its inception in 1996.

About Tokyo Game Show 2024

Tokyo Game Show (TGS), along with Gamescom in Germany and E3 in the United States, is considered one of the "Big Three" gaming events worldwide. 

The theme for Tokyo Game Show 2024 is "Trailblaze the World with Gaming." Scheduled to take place from September 26 to 29, 2024, at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, TGS 2024 will feature a hybrid format, combining a physical venue, official online programming, and a virtual exhibition.

This year's show offers a unique opportunity for the public to get hands-on experience with new gaming systems and titles that are still in development, as well as exclusive previews of upcoming trailers and game debuts. The first two days are reserved exclusively for members of the press and industry professionals, while the final two days are open to the general public.

Event Schedule for Tokyo Game Show 2024

Over the course of the four-day event, a total of 13 stage programs are planned (including 4 programs by exhibitors), and 21 official programs (including 13 "Official Exhibitor Programs" by participating companies). The stage programs organized by the event host will also be broadcast as part of the official programming.

As a global event, this year's official programs will be live-streamed in collaboration with international platforms and media, including DouYu (China), bilibili (China), and IGN (United States and others). Additionally, viewers can watch the official programs on the TGS dedicated site on Steam. Nearly all programs will be available in both Japanese and English through simultaneous interpretation.

Exhibitors at Tokyo Game Show 2024

The Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS 2024) is expanding its reach with the launch of the "Tokyo Game Show Digital World 2024" (TGSDW 2024).
