New Apple iPad Pro Is Powered  By a New Generation Of M4 Chip

The new iPad Pro's super slim design and amazing display are thanks to M4, Apple's latest chip that boosts performance a lot. M4, the next generation of Apple silicon is made with advanced tech that uses less power, which suits the iPad Pro's thin design. It also has a new display tech that makes colors and brightness look better on the Ultra Retina XDR display. With more powerful CPU and graphics, M4 makes apps run faster and look smoother, especially those used for editing and rendering. And even though it's super powerful, the M4 doesn't use up as much battery as older chips. Plus, it can play high-quality videos more efficiently.

"The new iPad Pro with M4 showcases the power of custom silicon, enabling groundbreaking products," said Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Technologies. "The efficient performance of the M4, coupled with its advanced display engine, allows for the sleek design and innovative display of the iPad Pro. Significant enhancements to the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, and memory system make the M4 ideal for the latest AI-driven applications, making the iPad Pro the most powerful device of its kind."

Additionally, there are three graphics:

New Apple's M4 Chip 10-core CPU

The M4 boasts a new CPU with up to 10 cores, including four high-performance cores and six efficiency cores. These next-generation cores feature improved branch prediction, wider decode and execution engines for high-performance cores, and a deeper execution engine for efficiency cores. Additionally, both types of cores include enhanced ML accelerators. Compared to the powerful M2 in the previous iPad Pro, the M4 delivers up to 1.5 times faster CPU performance. This means tasks like working with complex music files in Logic Pro or adding demanding effects to 4K video in LumaFusion are much quicker and smoother with the M4.

The M4's 10-core GPU is an improvement over the graphics architecture of the previous M3 chips. It introduces Dynamic Caching, a clever Apple feature that adjusts memory allocation on the fly, boosting the GPU's performance. This is especially beneficial for demanding professional apps and games, delivering significantly better performance. Additionally, the new GPU in the M4 will introduce hardware-accelerated ray tracing to the iPad for the first time. This will enhance the realism of shadows and reflections in games like Diablo Immortal and other visually immersive experiences.

Apple iPad Pro 2024 Is The Powerful Device For AI

The new iPad Pro with M4 has a super strong brain called the Neural Engine. It can do 38 trillion operations every second, which is 60 times faster than its older version, Apple’s first Neural Engine in the A11 Bionic chip. This, along with next-generation ML accelerators in the CPU, a high-performance GPU, more memory bandwidth, intelligent features, and powerful developer frameworks in iPadOS, makes the new iPad Pro really, really good at AI stuff. With the M4, you can do AI tasks super fast, like removing backgrounds from videos with just a tap. The Neural Engine in the M4 is even more powerful than any other AI brain in a PC right now.

iPadOS has some cool tools for developers, like Core ML, which lets them use the iPad Pro's powerful brain for amazing AI features right on the device. This means you can run fancy AI models smoothly, even without the internet. The iPad Pro can also use cloud-based apps that use AI, like Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Adobe Firefly, for even more productivity and creativity.

Key Takeaways: Users can perform AI-enabled tasks even faster with the new iPad Pro thanks to the Neural Engine in M4 Chip!

Upgraded Camera For Apple iPad Pro 2024

The new iPad Pro has upgraded cameras that make it really versatile. Plus, it has four high quality mics for great sound. Users can shoot, edit, and share all on one device.  The main 12MP camera takes awesome photos and videos, even in low light, thanks to Smart HDR. There's also a new adaptive True Tone flash that adjusts to make scanning documents easier. With AI, the iPad Pro Camera app can recognize documents and automatically take better scans, even if there's a shadow.

Meanwhile, the TrueDepth camera system's front camera has moved to the side, and it's an Ultra Wide 12MP with Center Stage camera. This makes video calls or video conferencing in landscape orientation look better, especially when the iPad is attached to the Magic Keyboard or Smart Folio.

Key Takeaways: The upgraded camera captures images and video with even better color, improved textures, and detail in low light thanks to the 12MP back camera with Smart HDR. These models use eSIM instead of a physical SIM card, which is safer and lets you switch plans digitally. Plus, you can get wireless data plans in over 190 countries without needing to visit a local carrier for a physical SIM card.

Apple Pencil Pro

The Apple Pencil Pro is even more amazing than before, with new features that make drawing and writing even easier. It has a sensor that can tell when you squeeze it, bringing up a menu so you can quickly change your tools and colors without stopping your creative flow. When you squeeze or double-tap, it gives a little tap back so you know it's worked. Plus, it has a gyroscope so you can tilt it for precise control, just like you would with a real pen. Rotating it changes the shape of the tools you're using, just like turning a pencil in your hand. It has a hover feature that shows you exactly where your marks will go before you make them. With these advanced features, Apple Pencil Pro allows users to bring their ideas to life in entirely new ways, and developers can also create their own custom interactions.

For the first time, the Apple Pencil Pro also works with Find My, so if you misplace it, you can easily locate it. It attaches, charges, and sticks to the side of the iPad Pro with magnets. And if you prefer, the iPad Pro also supports the older Apple Pencil (USB-C), which is great for note-taking, drawing, and more, at a great price. Apple Pencil Pro pairs, charges, and is stored on the side of the iPad Pro through a new magnetic interface.

Apple Magic Keyboard and Smart Folio

The all-new Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Pro is thinner and lighter, making it easier to carry around. It still has that cool floating design, but now it also has a row of buttons for things like adjusting the screen brightness and volume. Plus, it has a sleek aluminum palm rest and a bigger trackpad that feels really smooth to use, almost like a MacBook. It attaches magnetically using a Smart Connector and connects power and data instantly without needing Bluetooth. There's even a USB-C connector in the hinge for charging. And it comes in two colors that match the new iPad Pro: black with a space black palm rest, and white with a silver palm rest.

As for the Smart Folio, it's designed to protect the iPad Pro and doubles as a stand for easy viewing and typing. The new Smart Folio attaches magnetically and now supports multiple viewing angles for greater flexibility. Available in black, white, and denim, it complements the colors of the new iPad Pro.
